Here's a point which I would like to re-address again. Our cell's gentle giant :) shared about "prayers which do not seem to work" during our discussion; I mentioned to you that someone in the bible had prayed many days.... didn't seem like anything was happening in the physical realm but in fact something was happening in the spiritual realm!
See, we need to understand that each time we pray, there's a spiritual warfare waging behind the scenes.
Study Daniel 10:1-20, where Daniel prayed many many days till an answer finally came on the 24th day. An angel of the Lord appeared to Daniel and spoke to him:
' Then he (the angel) continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the kings of Persia." ' (v12-13)
Here, Michael refers to the archangel of God (Jude 1:9) who came to the aid of this angel who was held back 21 days by spiritual forces of Persia which opposed God.
So, everyone - myself included - let's not give up on praying persistently!
God's delays are not necessarily His denials!
